ABOUT US

Diwali Nivas is situated in Leicester City, close to the Narborough Road. It has easy access to local shops, a post office and the Jalaram Mandir temple is in walking distance. The house has been converted from a private dwelling to become a registered care home. The care home has been established to meet the needs of elderly people from the Asian community.

The service is registered to provide care to a maximum of 21 people. The service can provide care to elderly people, people with dementia, and people with mental health conditions. There are Gujarati, Punjabi and Hindi speaking staff available 24 hours a day, and the home caters for vegetarian diets only. The facilities include 12 bedrooms, consisting of eight single rooms and four double rooms. Eight bedrooms have en-suite toilet facilities. There are two walk-in shower rooms and a bathroom. Bedrooms are located on the ground and first floor. Access to the first floor is by means of a passenger lift or the staircase. There are two communal lounge/dining rooms, and a landscaped garden with patio area.

Staff

We have trained staff for all service users’ needs. (75% hold QCF in Social Care). Out staff can communicate in various languages including Gujarati, Hindu and Punjabi. Registered nurses visit the home twice daily.
